RESCHEDULING AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

Postponement

For non-founding members of CMSSA, a postponement fee of $200 is applicable to any candidate wishing to reschedule their exam. An individual can only postpone an exam once per registration and the subsequent appointment must be made within two weeks prior to the upcoming testing window's deadline date; which matches that same of late registrations.

Failure to Schedule

If you have fully registered with CMSSA (e.g., exam application submitted, payment for the exam fee settled, and education verification done), but have not yet booked an appointment, you must do so before the withdrawal/postponement deadline in order to secure a seat at their testing site. Failing to make arrangements will result in de-registration as well as postponement of your examination date - requiring a $200 postponement charge.

Withdrawal request

If you have registered for the exam but no longer wish to pursue it, you are not eligible for a refund, however you may reschedule to take the test at a later time. Don't miss out on this opportunity though; the withdrawal deadline is simultaneous with the late registration date!

Medical or Other Emergencies

In the case of medical or other emergency situations, CMSSA is willing to forgive any associated fees or refund you for your test. To do this, you must provide your request in writing and be able to back up your claim with verification from an outside source. For example, if it's a health-related issue then verified documentation from a doctor addressing why you were unable to take part in the exam is required. If there was another kind of emergency that prevented attendance on test day then third party evidence will also need to be provided for consideration of fee forfeiture by CMSSA.

Your request must be received within 10 business days after the close of the exam window. We will not process any requests we receive beyond the 10 business day deadline or that are without valid documents for verification.

Failure to Appear

If you miss the examination, your entire exam fee will be forfeited. However you will be allowed to reschedule.

RETAKE POLICY

Should you not be successful in passing the DSFP Exam, and decide to test again, you must retake all of the exam as well as pay for each repeat attempt.

If you are unsuccessful in achieving a passing score on the initial attempt, retakes of the exam are available with certain restrictions:

●  If you fail on your first try, you must wait at least 30 days before attempting a second time.

●  You must wait an additional 30 days after your second attempt before trying a third time.

●  You must wait an additional 30 days after your third or subsequent attempts before trying again.

●  Each exam attempt will require the full payment of fees.
